From Amber Cove to La Lola Beach Club
Amber Cove is the cruise port in Maimón, west of Puerto Plata. La Lola is about 12 km away on the coastal road — around 20 minutes by taxi.
The ride
Official taxis and shared vans wait outside the port. Say "La Lola Beach Club, Malecón de Puerto Plata": the road follows the coast into the city and ends on the seafront boulevard. Agree the fare per car before leaving, and ask the driver about a round trip — it is usually cheaper.
