Frequently asked questions

How far is La Lola Beach Club from the cruise ports?

From Taíno Bay it is about 3.4 km / 8 minutes by taxi along the Malecón. From Amber Cove it is about 12 km / 20 minutes.

How much is a taxi from the port?

Agree the fare before getting in. As a reference, a taxi from Taíno Bay usually costs US$10–15 each way and from Amber Cove US$25–35 each way per car (not per person). Show the driver the card on this page.

Do you charge tourist prices?

No. We are a local beach club on the Malecón and our menu has one price for everyone, shown in both Dominican pesos and US dollars. Taxes are included.

Can I pay in US dollars or by card?

Yes. We accept Dominican pesos, US dollars and cards. Prices are shown in both currencies.

Do I need a reservation on a cruise day?

Beachfront tables go first. Reserving takes one minute and is confirmed by WhatsApp; walk-ins are welcome when there is space.

How long should I plan for a beach day?

Three to four hours is ideal: lunch, a swim and the sunset side of the Malecón. Be back at the ship at least one hour before all-aboard.

Is the beach safe for swimming?

Yes. It is a town beach with calm water most of the year. Bring reef-safe sunscreen; towels and loungers are available.
